Evening All
Today is a sad day for me...my eldest has left home! He has moved in with 2 of his friends, both lovely lads. It feels very odd, I was at work all day so I didnt have to witness the Grand Move! No packing was done until this morning so goodness knows how it was transported..bin bags I reckon. Still they are really excited and we are going over for a visit tomorrow. I will miss him, the first 3 years of his life it was just me and him, although he was the most difficult baby ever, I hope we have a special bond. He was the product of a brief relationship , I had and the man in question wasnt interested basically. Still we all make our own choices and I can only thank him for giving me such a great son!
Harry has inherited all his ps2 games and a Spiderman picture that he has always had his eye on!
Speaking of Harry he has 4 friends around for a sleepover tomorrow, GREAT!
Have a good week everyone Louise xx

Hi All
What a bad bad blogger I am!!
Whats happening here in sunny Suffolk.....Christmas went well albeit over too soon! Work is good, I cannot believe looking back how I managed before, now I just go in ,work hard, have a bit of a laugh come home and forget!! Although in the current economic climate maybe retail is NOT the place to be. In our small market town both the Woolies and the Marks are closing right next door to each other. Iceland is coming in its place....how I dislike that shop!
Eldest son is moving out next weekend, he is renting a house with some of his friends.....has he got a shock coming to him lol. I shall really miss him as will Harry...who will play with him on the guitar hero now!
Julian is back at work this week so life is returning to normal..ie me watching Jeremy Kyle and Loose women in the daytime!
As we are totally skint at the mo I an entertaining myself cooking..this week I have made two different soups, Leek potato and Blue cheese and Carrot and coriander. No leftovers are being wasted in this house!
Harry will be 13 in a week or so's time, my baby a teenager, I can't believe it. Luckily he hasnt turned grumpy yet so I will make the most of him.
Trying to upload a couple of photos of my oldest friend wedding which was great.
Take care all Louise

christmas stress
I feel extremely stressed about christmas....namely I cannot find the time or the motivation to finish my shopping aaarrrhhhhh.
Julian is still at home recuperating, he has a very very cold foot , perhaps they have damaged a nerve or something but its much colder than the other one...weird!
I am soaking my fruit for my cake, I know its a bit late but this one which I have made for the last two years doesnt need to be made too far in advance.
http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2988/hot-toddy-fruitcake give it a try its dead easy!
Have ordered Harrys guitar hero from Amazon so perhaps I am not as behind as I think.
Next week Julians pie making will start so the kitchen will be full of lard and gelatine.
One good thing about having him at home is he has firstly tidyed Harrys bedroom , not a job for the faint hearted and secondly he is doing all the cooking! The other day he made his own pasta for lasagna.
I may find the energy to write some cards tonight...or I may not! I shall watch survivors although it really is quite rubbish I am addicted!
Love to you all Louise xx

Hospital time
Hello All
Julian has had his op. Last night he was quite rough, in a lot of pain and agitated ( the morphine I think). This morning I am pleased to say he was up on his feet and walking up and down the corridor. I was quite worried last night and didnt sleep a wink. The hospital is about 45 mins from us, longer last night because of a detour due to a nasty accident. Luckily he has private healthcare through his work, what a difference it is to when I had my op in the NHS hospital.
Harry bless him cooked our tea tonight, chicken fajitas.....very nice too! He is planning my next culinary experience in bed reading Jamie Oliver.
Work is going fine, this week I have been working in the MDS department, that is where all the medicines are done for the local Nursing homes. Busy but no impatient members of the public!
In answer to your question Sandra, Yes he did write the Tales of the City books. I love those books and re read them often. This latest one was a bit of a disapointment I am afraid .
Taking adantage of Julians absence by watching Strictly and X Factor.....how he hates those programmes..mind you I am not keen of the X Factor much but I love Strictly. I am routing for Jodie and Ian, I know shes not the best dancer but she seems a lovely girl and I think he is so nice.
Anyway might try and catch up on my sleep.
Have great weekends all

Hi All
Well today is my birthday and I actually feel in a good mood. Had some nice pressies from my fab boys..two books I really wanted Paul O'Gradys new autobiography and the latest Armistead Maupin. Work got me a mega big box of chocolates and book tokens and Rory got me vouchers from my favourite cookery shop. Cant wait to go spending!!
So glad I was back in retail yesterday as it was staff double discount day so made a start on the christmas shopping. With the 3 for the price of 2 and nearly 50% off some products saved loads of money...hooray!.
I am off out to lunch today with 2 good friends so really looking forward to that.
Thinking my blog looks really boring compared to everyone elses, went to put some pictures on and found Julian has put them on an external harddrive so they were gone! Will have to try and liven it up somehow.
Anyway have a good day all
